you can get away with this when it's Viking... and hands down the BEST cookware that the average person can afford. The ONLY and I mean ONLY complaint i have is that the skillets are non-stick. I'd much rather have had skillets without the non-stick coating. Now, this isn't the standard non-stick... this stuff won't scratch/scrape off for anything under normal use, but i just prefer the browning and searing you get from the and standard surface.
Following getting this set, the first dish my wife used this on was pork chops. These pans put the PERFECT sear on the porkchops. The inlaws have all-clad and in a side to side comparison, Viking is undoubtedly the BEST!!!
